Skitouring

Exploratory tours on skis. The location of the Gletscher Apartments is excellent for ski tours. The Hohe Tauern National Park and its surrounding mountains are the largest ski touring area in the Eastern Alps.

Fraganter Schutzhaus and beyond

Door open, skis on! Right in front of Gletscher Apartments you can start your ski tour to the Fraganter Schutzhaus. You start at an altitude of 1,060 m and ascend over forest roads and fields to the Fraganter Schutzhaus which is located at an altitude of 1,810 m. So you cover 750 meters in altitude. The walking time is approximately 2 hours.

If you want to do a more extensive tour, you can choose from various tour extensions with different levels of difficulty from there. Additionally, upon request, you can take tours with a certified mountain guide and participate in professional exercises with the avalanche transceivers.

Sandfeldkopf
