Großglockner
The Großglockner at 3,798 m is the highest mountain in Austria and one of the highest peaks in the Eastern Alps. You can start the ascent from Kals or Heiligenblut.

Swimming in summer. Carinthia is very popular with beach holidaymakers due to its over 100 bathing lakes. If you want to cool off you can reach some outdoor pools and very popular bathing lakes from the Gletscher Apartments in a short time.
